Last week, as we celebrated Thanksgiving, I spent a lot of time contemplating how thankful I am for so many things. At the top of the list is my bride. No one knows the life of a pastor’s wife and mom unless you are one. I’ve watched her strength and grace in so many situations. She carries the same burdens I do, and prays for C3, and has the same passion burning within to see God do huge things. She has compassion that is second to none. Honestly, I’ve never met anyone who comes close to her. I’m more than blessed.
Those who are close to her know of her multiple talents. For years I’ve asked Angie to publish some stuff. She has amazing gifts in many areas, including writing, poetry and photography. She’s finally done it! You can go here to check out here new book.

Last night the sky was incredible. Angie has always had this thing about beautiful sunsets/sunrises - just the colors of the sky, nature… life in general. It’s always a reminder of the depth of beauty that only God can create.
So, yesterday evening when the sun was setting she goes flying out the backdoor with Kayleigh’s camera but couldn’t get a great shot. She then climbs on top of the Excursion to capture what moved her. I saw a beauty greater than the colors of the sky… I saw this:

Today I’m thankful for the beautiful things only God can create, my bride and my kids. Life is great.
Angie’s blog has moved to a new site - you’ve got to check this out!
Today is Angie’s birthday. It’s hard to believe that another year has passed so quickly. I really believe I am the most blessed man alive.

Because we dated in high school, I’ve known Angie as a kid, and now as an adult. Who she is and what she means to me is really impossible to capture in words. As we’ve loved, laughed, cried, thought, talked and shared in this life together, I’ve never seen someone grow more and reflect who Christ is more than Angie. If you know her, you know that she’s quite feisty but also extremely compassionate.
Angie, I love you deeply and look forward to growing old together (we’re not there yet). Thank you for being the bride and Mom and friend that you are. You are what makes me, our family, and C3 what we are. You’re love for Christ and others is passionate and contagious. Happy Birthday, I love you.

So… after church this morning, which was amazing, I tried to get a quick nap. I was telling Angie that my head was killing me (usually happens on Sundays - lights, stress, crazy schedule, etc.) and she says, “you’re just having to contend with changes in the barometric pressure…”
WHAT?! Who talks like that. First, I don’t know what barometric pressure is but I’m pretty sure I don’t flow that way. Secondly, “contend” with… really… WOW. I really did marry a woman of great intelligence… sucks for her. The more tired she is, the bigger the words she uses - it’s a blast!
Now, I’m ready to crash because tomorrow brings with it great freedom the start of school!
C3 - I continue to be blown away by your passion for Christ and reaching others. I met so many first time guests this morning. Our numbers were strong, and lives were changed. I believe it was one of the most moving services we’ve had. This week invest and invite - next week we’ll continue “Bodacious ’80’s!
Peace.
