It’s been a long but great day. Here’s what’s rolling through my mind tonight:
I love my family. In the early years of our marriage, Angie and I talked about our desire for our home to be a place our kids and their friends (“special” friends 🙂 ) would want to hang out. Even though I’m completely exhausted after Sunday mornings, I love a full house in the afternoon.
What God is doing in and through C3 Church continues to amaze me. We’ve been experiencing insane growth for some time and it still excites me each week as much as when it first began to happen. Seeing people come and find hope and discover a church that really does care about them never gets old.
A ton of people committed to baptism this morning and I’m so happy for them!
The series we’re beginning next Sunday will be one of the most, if not the most, meaningful series we’ve ever done. It will also be one of the most challenging and difficult for me personally (I’ll share why through the series). You can find out more about it here.
Often in church life we only talk about the “highlight reel” – the good stuff that’s happening. While a lot of great things are happening, we’re also experiencing some challenges. We’ve had more stuff randomly go wrong in the last few weeks than any time I can remember. Having no sound one Sunday for our first service, issues with the monitor on the platform, lights going out… it’s been a little wheels off.
Today’s Dallas game was typical. And I’m still a Dallas fan after 2 decades of mediocrity… somethings wrong… with me!
And, you. I’ll be praying for you this week – hope you have a great one!
