Everything Changed
Posted on April 23rd, 2009.There’s really nothing that changes your life like having kids. You can’t fully comprehend the responsibility and blessing unless you’ve experienced it… and you’re never fully ready or prepared or wise enough. Today, 19 years ago, Kayleigh was born. It changed us forever.
Kayleigh, I’m so proud of you. You’ve become not only a beautiful young lady, but your passion for Christ and making your life count are contagious. It seems like just yesterday you looked to me for everything, today I look at you with love and admiration.
I love the way you laugh. The way, when you laugh, your eyes can’t stay open. The way you view life with such hope and determination. The way you genuinely care for others and how the vision of making a difference in lives is so deep in you. You really are precious… and you will always be my little girl. When you came into our lives everything changed… and I can’t imagine life without you. I love you.

Oh wow, that is beautiful. Isn’t it the most wonderful love in the world? That of the love we have for our children. I’m so fortunate that you, your lovely bride, C3Church, and the Wilson’s came into my life at the most tragic time in my life. Otherwise, I may not be here to share in your thoughts and love for your beautiful daughter and my childrens lives.
I will never be able to thank you all enough for literally helping to “save my life” and giving me the opportunity of sticking around to watch my children grow as you have with yours so far. Thank you. This blog was very touching…as always I CRIED.
Thank You Byron again for the courage to follow your dream.
I am SO touched that God trusted my family enough to allow us to be the ones help Zinda and Jose. Not one time have we ever given ourselves a “pat on the back” but we have thanked them for allowing us to help. You see, we look at helping people as an honor and a trust God has given us. He could have put anyone in these peoples lives but chose us! I get goosebumps everytime I think of it, how humbling to know that a great and might God can work through you if you let go of your agenda and “look at me” attitude.
We love Kayleigh and are thankful that she is part of our lives. I am really glad she is Natalie’s small group leader in The Mix. Her smile lights up the room and her heart for God is awesome.
