You can actually feel it. Honestly, I don’t remember a time in my life when so many people were hurting… struggling… just trying to
make it. The economy has flat-lined. It has created a cloud of weariness that hangs over so many. This kind of “domino effect” is created when we struggle financially it can often spread into other areas in our lives. We feel the pressure. We wonder if it will ever get better…
Our economy has been rocked and it seems it’s going to take quite a while to recover. Every Sunday, as I walk on the platform or shake hands and hug necks in the hallways, I’m fully aware of how many people are having such a hard time. So, this Sunday at C3 Church we’re having a special service… seriously, you don’t want to miss this weekend at C3 – it’s just for you!
If you’ve lost your job, experienced pay cuts, or you’re just having a hard time financially – this Sunday is for you at C3. If you’re relationships have been impacted – you’re stressed out and feel the pressure and it’s affecting the climate of your home – this Sunday is for you at C3. If you’ve ever struggled with “Why God!?” – this Sunday is for you at C3! If you’ve ever felt like you’ve messed up to much and you wonder if God can still…… – this Sunday is for you at C3 Church! I really believe God wants to speak to you personally this weekend and encourage you and help you.
C3′ers – please join me in doing 3 things for Sunday. 1) Please pray each day for the services this weekend – ask God to move in huge ways in peoples lives. 2) Found People Find People – invite somebody – at least one person, to come with you this weekend. 3) Be on time! Whether you come at 9 or 10:30 – I promise, you’ll want to experience the entire service… so arrive early enough to check your kids in, grab some coffee and be in the house when we crank!
I can’t wait!!!

I got one of those calls. It came at 5:33 pm. Angie and I were talking and… it happened. Kayleigh had been in an accident. We didn’t know much and flew out of the house.
So much goes through your mind. Of course… “Is she okay?” is the main thing. She was traveling down a major road in Orlando and for some reason a guy on a bike decided to cross the road… a six lane road! She had no time to stop and she hit him. Once I knew she was okay, I began to wonder about the guy that rode out in front of her (he was taken to the hospital). Her front windshield shattered, front fender dented, bumper cracked… he must have hit pretty hard.
I have no idea what he was thinking – how he determined that was a good idea. My little girl is incredibly upset, but she’s okay. That call… that accident could have been so different. There are moments when life is interrupted… moments we’re reminded what’s really important (I’m sure the family of the guy who was hit is having those tonight as well – please pray for them. It’s my understanding that he’ll be okay as well).
When I saw Kayleigh’s windshield… and saw that she only had one minor scratch… it just didn’t make sense – but I know why she’s okay. So, tonight I’m grateful. I’m also so grateful for the Orange County Deputies (thanks Deputy Burk), the paramedics, the FL Highway Patrol… and the witnesses who stayed around. I really was struck by how encouraging and helpful everyone was. So much happens that we never see. Tonight I saw the kindness and compassion of many people. Life was interrupted… and I’ve payed attention. I love my little girl!

Real transformation and life-change happen from the inside – out. This Fall at C3 Church we’re walking through some message series that will help bring that deep change in each of our lives. Honestly, as I think about the Fall there’s not one particular series I’m more excited about than the others – I’m jacked about all of them!
If you were at C3 Sunday, you received our “Inside/Out” brochure. Give that to a friend this week… because “found people find people!“ Invite somebody!
Also, if you’re new to the C3 community, our next DC3 (Discovering C3) is going to be September 12. DC3 is a 60 minute behind-the-scenes experience where you’ll discover who we are, what C3’s about, and how you can become part of this movement… check it out – to register email us at info@c3church.cc.

It’s been a great but full day. I really can’t put into words how pumped I am about what God’s doing in and through C3 Church. We have such an opportunity for God to use us to reach people far from him.
Let me encourage you to continue praying for people, inviting people and building relationships with people. Next week we’ll wrap up “Burnout” and talk about how to pull out of it. I can’t wait!
If there’s any way I can pray for you this week, just shoot me an email or send me a facebook message or direct message me on twitter and let me know!

We’ve read the stories, watched the documentaries, heard of the tragedies. The effects of “burnout” in someones life. Lindsey Lohan, Brittney Spears, Gary Coleman, Ricky Williams…. other people you know and I know… the list is long. Those who have such talent and promise and, yet, something happens… and few recover.
Are you experiencing “burnout“. This weekend at C3 Church we’re launching a brand new series called “Burnout.” We know some of the things that get us there, what we don’t often know is how to get out. Don’t miss this weekend!
